Mark Rode working on the patina (chemically created colour) which is one of his specialities. The patina chemicals are applied onto the metal after it has been heated with a blow torch. This image gives a great sense of the scale of the pieces. The Mother is already 'pallete wrapped' and ready for transport to the crate building company.
